Skylight Tinting
Atrium and monitor glazing takes the sun at its most direct angle. Overhead, that's both the hottest glass in the building and the only glass that can fall on someone.

Skylight & Overhead Glazing
Daylight Without
The Heat Lamp
Nothing in a building takes the sun as squarely as roof glazing, which is why it runs hotter per square foot than any wall of windows. Underneath sits a moving pocket of heat, glare nobody can shade from below, and a bleached band travelling across whatever the sun happens to be crossing that hour.
Central Los Angeles has a great deal of it, and much of it is old. Original monitor roofs and sawtooth glazing in Arts District warehouses, banking-hall skylights in the historic core, and full-height atria in the eighties towers. On overhead glazing the safety argument leads: a laminate that holds a broken pane together is protecting the people underneath, not just the merchandise. Access is our problem — we bring the lifts and staging.

What Sets Us Apart
Why Businesses Choose
Window Films of Los Angeles
Overhead Safety First
Safety laminates hold a broken skylight together instead of letting it fall into an occupied space below.
Kills The Hot Spot
Sun straight down through glass is the hardest case there is, so it's where film gives back the most.
Stops The Sun Stripe
That travelling bleach line across the floor and the stock stops advancing once the ultraviolet is gone.
We Bring The Access
Boom lifts, towers, and rope access for atria and sloped glazing, all booked and insured by us.
Our Process
How It Works
Overhead Survey
We record the material, the pitch, the height, and how we'll get to it, then price it as one scope.
Film & Safety Spec
We specify the solar product and any safety laminate the position calls for against your actual glazing.
Access & Install
Access is rigged, the floor below is fully sheeted, and film goes up one panel at a time.
Clean & Confirm
Everything struck and cleared, a review from ground level, and the overhead warranty logged.
